We have told how the Constitution was set up and how the founding fathers understood they did not want this to be a Democracy because of the lessons they had learned from history.
The story would not be complete if one left it at that because there were others in the country who were what they liked to call themselves, progressives. The progressives didn’t like anything to be set in stone. They liked things to change with the winds of the time, to be progressive.
The Constitution guarantees to each state the right to set up a Republican form of state.
Many of the northeastern states allowed the cities to establish their own form of city and some county government. It was in these city and county governments that the progressives set up various forms of Democratic governments.
With some cities being run as purely Democratic cities with the citizens voting for most everything. This allowed progressives to get the voters to promote their own welfare with no concern for anyone else, making their areas very socialistic. Today we see a lot of our liberal and communist politicians coming from the northeastern states in the United States.
They lost out on the forming of our Constitutional Republic but they have wreaked havoc in recent years, with the help of the news media, to make the people think that calling this a Democracy has some right or reason.
The Biden Administration formulated a militant Democracy which was on the verge of becoming a Dictatorship and probably would have if gun control could have been established. The Biden Administration is a good lesson for America to learn what happens if you let the fox rule the
chicken house.
So the progressives were not only the losers in establishing the Constitution but also in trying to take over the country by hook or by crook.
A valuable lesson.
